Special Weather Statement for Lamar County

The NWS in Birmingham is opting to go with a special weather statement instead of a severe thundestorm warning for Lamar County.

This is for the strom near Amory that is moving toward Sullligent.

There have been no recent wind damage reports from the NWS in Memphis for Northeast Mississippi.

Be ready for wind gusts to 50 mph and pea sized hail. There will be dangerous lightning and heavy rain as well.
