Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Shelby County Through 4:30 AM
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Shelby County until 4:30 AM CDT.
At 3:38 AM, a strong storm was located over Pelham, moving east at 30 mph.
This storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and penny-size hail, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Areas in the path include Hoover, Alabaster, Helena, Chelsea, Montevallo, Columbiana, and Oak Mountain State Park.
