St. Clair County Storm Strongest…Shelby Cells Growing

| March 28, 2010 @ 11:31 am | 2 Replies

Heard some thunder in past few minutes from cell that extends from west of Odenville to Moody. It will bring brief heavy rain, perhaps small hail and some lightning to much of St. Clair County as it moves ENE.

Cells from west of Chelsea to Alabaster to north of Centreville are definitely growing. Areas south of I-20 and east of I-65 will be the most likely to receive severe weather as we head into the afternoon hours.

The front passed the Birmingham Airport at 10:24 a.m. The line of storms pretty much delineates the location of the front.
