Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southeastern Dallas County Until 3:30 PM
A severe thunderstorm capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail is moving north across southeastern Dallas County this afternoon.
At 2:53 PM, the storm was located near Belknap, about 16 miles south of Selmont-West Selmont, moving north at 25 mph.
Hail damage to vehicles is expected, along with possible damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
The storm is putting out 40 flashes of lightning per minute.
Areas impacted include Selma, Valley Grande, Craig Field Airport, and Selma University.
Remain indoors and move to a safe room away from windows until the storm passes.
