Severe Thunderstorm Over Centreville with 60 mph Winds

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for south central Bibb County until 9:45 PM CDT. At 9:02 PM, a strong storm was located near Centreville, drifting southwest at only 10 mph.

This storm is capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and penny-size hail. These winds may lead to damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Areas impacted include Centreville, Brent, West Centreville, and Bibb County Airport.

If you’re in the path of this storm, seek shelter in an interior room away from windows. Do not attempt to drive through storm-damaged areas or flooded roads.
