Pickens Storm Weakens A Bit

| April 24, 2010 @ 5:52 pm | 16 Replies

The NWS cancels the tornado warning for Pickens County.

The storm over Pickens County seems to be weakening now. The evidence of rotation is not as definite and the radar signature does not look as severe.

The most dangerous part of the storm is just east of Carrollton. It is moving ENE and will push into Tuscaloosa County.

But the good news is that the storm is weakening a bit.

No tornado warnings now. Severe thunderstorm warning for Fayette County. Most dangerous part is near Berry. The worst is actually moving up into Walker County between Carbon Hill and Jasper.
