Loud Little Storm Near Trafford

| August 21, 2010 @ 7:50 pm | 1 Reply

Scattered thunderstorms continue at this hour across Central Alabama.

A loud little storm is giving us booming distant thunder here in Trussville. That storm is just southeast of Trafford in Northeastern Jefferson County. Movement is generally southeast.

In North Alabama, severe storms will move into parts of Limestone, Madison and Jackson Counties within the hour. These storms are ahead of a southward moving frontal boundary that will give us enhanced thunderstorms chances tomorrow. There could even be showers and storms overnight across the northern half of Alabama as well.

Then, we will have to wait and see if the front can get far enough south to allow drier air deep into Alabama.
