A Couple of Heavy Storms

| September 17, 2010 @ 6:24 pm | 1 Reply

Just a few heavy showers and storms have bubbled up late this afternoon across Central Alabama courtesy of a weak frontal boundary sliding ever so imperceptibly into Central Alabama.

Some were over western Jefferson and eastern Tuscaloosa Counties. Others were in the Alabaster/Calera areas of Shelby County. Heavy rain was falling in a thunderstorm at the Shelby County Airport, where t he mercury had fallen to 75F. The storms were moving erratcially, but generally southward slowly. .
