Storms Shift South
Most of the showers and thunderstorms have shifted more than half way down the state of Alabama tonight. Numerous communities received beneficial rains this afternoon and this evening.
At 8:50 tonight, the main line of storms extended across South Central Alabama from Choctaw County on the west side of the state to south of Montgomery to near Phenix City.
There was a secondary zone, or broad line of showers and storms north of there from Livingston and Demopolis eastward to north of Montgomery to Martin Lake. Heaviest rain was south and SE of Montgomery.
