Gust to 46 mph at BHM

The Birmingham Airport reported a wind gust to 40 knots or 46 mph with that severe storm that was just to their southeast just before 11 p.m.

KBHM 250401Z 15022G40KT 100V170 1 1/4SM R06/2600VP6000FT -TSRA BR SCT043 BKN060CB OVC110 21/18 A2994 RMK AO2 PK WND 15040/0400 TSB0357RAB01 OCNL LTGICCG SW TS SW MOV NE P0000

The observer reports a complete power failure at the Airport.

The most dangerous part of this storm is now up between Clay, Pinson and Chalkville.
