Iron Bowl Update

As forecast, this is a raw, cold, and damp Friday across Alabama. Temperatures have fallen into the 40s; we are showing a chilly 43 degrees at our SKYCAM site atop the Tuscaloosa County courthouse now, and it sure looks like we might have revise our temperature forecasts downward for the game. We have been forecasting 47 at kickoff, but I am not sure we can get past 45. And, the north wind of 12-22 mph will make it feel colder. While the significant rain has pushed south of Tuscaloosa, drizzle will linger through the midday hours.

We note a little clearing over Northwest Alabama, but clouds are thick back into Mississippi and West Tennessee, so it looks like the blanket of clouds will hang tough during the game…

I spoke with my friend Tom Stipe, who produces the University of Alabama sports network, and he confirms it is a raw, cold morning in Tuscaloosa. If you are going to the game, bundle up…
