Beautiful visible satellite photo of the South Central U.S. from this afternoon

It has turned out to be a beautiful, just slightly chilly December Saturday afternoon across Alabama.  Temperatures currently range between 50F and 55F across Central Alabama.

Skies have cleared nicely, giving way to nice sunshine.

There is a really pretty patch of what looks to be cirrocumulus clouds coming across the Mississippi River.  It looks like it could be over the Birmingham area by sundown.  Get the cameras ready, I have a feeling it will be a pretty sunset.

Skies tonight will be clear and it will be cold, with lows in the lower and middle 20s.  Tomorrow will be sunny with highs in the upper 40s.
