I-20 Traffic Update

UPDATE 12:20 p.m.
The NAVTEQ site now shows the traffic east of I-459 on I-20 has freed up. It also indicates that other interstates in the Birmingham area are moving freely. Please be careful if you are driving. Roads are icy in spots.

In addition, snow is falling along I-59/20 between Bessemer and Tuscaloosa.

I-20 is still backed up between Leeds and Moody according to NAVTEQ real time traffic.

Eastbound lanes are extremely slow. I-459 SB is slow between Trussville and I-20.

Roads are still icy in spots where snow has accumulated. There have been numerous reports of accidents this morning Please be careful if you must travel.
