Widespread showers and thunderstorms across North Alabama at this hour. Almost all of the main storms are along and north of the Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area. Movement is toward the northeast. Rain is heavy in many of the storms.

The main severe weather is still back in Mississippi.

No watches or warning current in Alabama but there is plenty of lightning.

We will be on watch all night.
