NOTE: Before I post this, please scroll down and read an earlier post by James, “Tuesday Morning QB.” He is right on target and timely and I agree with him fully! Also check Jason’s post immediately below. Very useful information. Now here we go with mine:

Intermittent snow flurries, or snow showers have been moving southeast
for several hours this morning including most of the Birmingham Metro
area and surrounding counties. The “showers” are not heavy enough to
significantly worsen driving conditions. Temperatures late this
morning were hovering between 34 and 36 so that is a great help.

Here are some late spot reports (places reporting flurries)

…..Mountain Brook
…..Roebuck
…..Grayson Valley
…..Moody
…..Trussville
…..Riverchase
…..Warrior
…..Gardendale
…..Strait Mountain in Blount County

The report from Strait Mountain said that 41/2 inches of snow was
still on the ground from or weekend storm and “not a flake has melted”

REPORT FROM ATLANTA
(we received this message from an individual this morning not from
officials)

“Don’t even try to come to Atlanta via I-20. Most Atlanta interstates
are still closed with jacknifed trucks and cars everywhere. The
gentleman said that this was the worst he has seen in his 50 years of
living in Atlanta.
