Here is the projected sounding at Birmingham at midnight tomorrow night…

The whole column is below freezing, so at least there is not much doubt about the precipitation type if the WRF is correct (the model used for this forecast sounding). Dendritic crystals needed for a good snow tend to form in the -12 to -16 degree (C) zone, and the moisture is certainly not overwhelming there, but sufficient for some snow.

Below is the snow accumulation chart from the 12Z NAM:

Amounts are not overly impressive for Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Anniston on this run.
