Storm Alert 2011 Kicks Off Tonight

| February 10, 2011 @ 1:38 pm | Reply

Just a quick reminder… I will be at McAdory High School with the rest of our weather team this evening for Storm Alert 2011, our annual severe weather awareness tour across Alabama.

The show begins at 6:45… this year’s tour will feature family-friendly activities and information, including your personal responsibility during times of severe weather, how and why watches and warnings are issued, and “Dixie Alley”: Is it a myth or reality? As usual, door prizes will be given away at the end of the show. The first 400 adults to enter the show will receive an ABC 33/40 water bottle and other items, and the first 250 children in the door will receive a severe weather safety activity book and crayons. I will be doing the weather live from the school at 5:00 and 6:00.

Hope to see many of you there…
