* 12 is how many inches of new snow at Minneapolis-St. Paul from this latest storm
* 22 inches of snow now on the ground at Dassel, Minn.
* 24 inches on the ground at Redwood Falls, Minn., and there is growing concern about major flood problems when the spring melt comes to the Upper Midwest.
* 23 degrees and snowing at noon at Minneapolis/St. Paul, wind chill 8. Those folks are ready for spring!
* 1 inch of snow on the ground at Mason City, Iowa. Saying that to illustrate that this big winter storm is affecting mainly the Extreme North USA
* Trace of snow is the prevailing amount in and around Chicago.
* 92 was the high Sunday at Laredo, Tex., hottest in the USA and one degree higher than the average during the middle of summer in Birmingham!
* 18 below zero was the coldest in the Lower 48 this morning at Glendive, Mont., out on the plains of Eastern Montana. Drove through there late one night about 2 am and did not see anybody!
* 33 was the coldest in Alaska this morning at Arctic Village
* 66 inches of snow now on the ground at Kotzebue, Alaska and 39 inches at Valdez
* 149 inches of snow so far this season at Syracuse! They seem to be the champion so far among the USA bigger cities!
* 69 below zero at Peters Sink is now the recognized all time low for the state of Utah. That spot is located off Logan Canyon (near the top)
* 70 below zero, however, is still the all time low for the Lower 48 states, at Rogers, Pass, Mont.
* 80 is the coldest ever recorded in the USA when considering all 50 state. That occurred at Prospect Creek, Alaska
* 36.4 is the average annual temperature at International Falls, Minn., making it the coldest USA city (not counting Alaska)
* 767 days is how long it did not rain a drop at Bagdad, Calif., from October 3, 1912 until November 8, 1914. That is the longest stretch with no rain whatsoever in the USA
