Light to moderate rain now covers much of Alabama west of I-65 tonight. A large mass of moderate to heavy rain is moving northeast out of Monroe, Marengo and Wilcox Counties into Dallas County.

The cold front is right along the Mississippi River now. The back edge of the rain has passed through Jackson. The rain area is moving east at about 20 mph. So we can expect another 8 hours of rain or so.
