Topic – Weather Safety

When I got a call from the Alabaster Library about a month ago, no one had any idea what would occur in Alabama just two days before the speaking date. But the topic of severe weather safety is especially timely in light of the tragic events and tornado outbreak which occurred last Friday.

I will be speaking this afternoon at 2 pm at the Albert L. Scott Library in Alabaster. It is located at the corner of County Road 95 and County Road 44. CR 44 is also known as 1st Avenue West and CR 95 is known as 9th Street Northwest. The library’s director, Nan Abbott, is a good friend of mine and a wonderful librarian.

I believe the presentation will be held in the trailer located directly behind the library’s main building. So if you have an interest in learning more about severe weather and severe weather safety, come on out today at 2 pm.
