Wedge Whittles Warmup

| December 22, 2007 @ 11:19 am | 1 Reply

The wedge and the clouds have put a clamp on much warm up today. The strong easterly flow has kept temperatures in the upper 40s across East Central Alabama and in the lower 50s across West Central sections. Of course, the deck of clouds overhead is not helping much since the sunshine just can’t get through. Looks like the cloud deck stops around 900 millibars or about 4,000 feet, but that’s certainly thick enough to last much of the day.

Skycam shot from Mt. Cheaha just gives me a chill with a temperature up there standing at 43 just before noon.

Still looks favorable for a little precipitation on Christmas morning, but not of the white, frozen variety for Alabama. Aw shucks!!!
