Pickens County Tornado Warning

Tornado Warning for Pickens [AL] till 4:45 AM CDT …* AT 413 AM CDT…THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED 9 MILES WEST OF MEMPHIS…OR 13 MILES SOUTHWEST OF PICKENSVILLE…AND MOVING EAST AT 60 MPH.

The NWS Jackson thinks there may be a tornado on the ground now in the Shuqualak area of Noxubee COunty MS. This will be crossing into southern Pickens County, perhaps grazing northern Sumter County in the next few minutes. It will pass near Aliceville, perhaps Pickensville and Carrollron and eventually near or south of Gordo and Reform.
