Alabama Weather Update – 4:45 p.m.

| December 31, 2006 @ 4:40 pm | 1 Reply

SKies have cleared over the northwestern quarter of Alabama. We did sneak in a little bit of sunshine at the end of the day in Birmingham.

Showers and storms continue over extreme East Alabama at this hour. All of the activity will be into Georgia within the hour.

Temperatures are still in the 60s over most of North and Central Alabama, but dewpoints have dropped dramatically over western sections of the area. Drier air will continue to flow in overnight. But some wraparound moisture and an upper disturbance will increase cloudiness later tonight through part of Monday.
