Extra Drive Time Needed

NWS has posted a Dense Fog Advisory until 9 o’clock this morning so you may need to allow some extra driving time on the way to work (or going anywhere)

The fog is not everywhere, it is patchy, however it is increasing. Some sample 5 am visibility reports:

…Only 1/8th mile at Birmingham Airport
…1/4th mile Huntsville, Calera, Anniston, Tuscaloosa, Scottsboro

At least the rain is gone. After we get rid of the fog, mostly sunshine the rest of the day, much lower humidity and highs in the 60s or low 70s.

Look for lows tonight close to 40 with some upper 30s in the valleys. That is a lot better than what we will have in June and July with highs in the 90s and sweat popping out the minute you step out the door!
