An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player on the right sidebar of the blog. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

BENIGN WEATHER CONTINUES: Looks like a nice calm stretch of days for our state. A fairly strong short wave will pass just north of here tonight and tomorrow, but no moisture means no rain. We will have high clouds around at times, but the low levels remain very dry, and any rain with the wave should be north and east of here.

WARMER DAYS: We warm into the upper 70s tomorrow, low 80s Saturday, and mid 80s Sunday. The latest models runs suggest the humidity values will stay low tomorrow and Saturday, but Sunday those dewpoints creep up into the 60s, making it more muggy and giving the air a summer feel.

The weather looks simply marvelous for this week’s Senior PGA “Regions Traditions” tournament at Shoal Creek. Bring the sunscreen.

NEXT WEEK AND BEYOND: Just like summer. Look for highs around 90 Monday through Wednesday with no rain as a strong upper ridge gets even stronger. Then, later, the GFS continues to show a deep upper forming over the eastern U.S. in the May 12-15 time frame that will bring cooler temperatures. And, still no sign of any severe weather threat for Alabama for the next 15 days.
