Severe Thunderstorm Warning…

The NWS in Birmingham has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for north central Lamar, northern Marion, northwestern Winston Counties until 2:30 p.m.

The storm is over southwestern Marion County and northern Lamar Counties. It is between Detroit and Hamilton moving NE. It will move toward Hackleburg and Bear Creek. Hail and damaging winds are possible with this storm.

A tornado warning has been issued for Colbert and Lauderdale Counties in Northwest Alabama.

Storms in Tuscaloosa County over into northern Bibb County have become heavier.

Heavy rain from Helena up through the Birmingham area.

A tornado watch continues until 7 p.m. for much of the northwestern half of Alabama.
