Storms Entering Cherokee/Etowah

Our friends in Cherokee and Etowah Counties are about to get heavy rain, gusty winds to 40 mph, intense lightning and perhaps some small hail. These storms are not severe and are actually weakening.

Outflow boundary are pushing southwest through St. Clair and Talladega Counties. Another is pushing south through Blount County toward northern Jefferson County. We could see some scattered storms develop in the I-59 corridor of Northeast Jefferson County. (Perhaps just wishful thinking on my part…)
