That band of showers and some thunderstorms that was dumping moderate to heavy rain over part of West Alabama has diminished considerably.

At 7:40 am, it is now a band of light to moderate showers across Lamar, Fayette, Walker and Cullman Counties.

Movement is generally eastward or ESE. The precipitation is approachig Blount, Jefferson and Tuscaloosa County. A few moderate showers included.
