Storms Cranking Up

NWS, Huntsville has posted a Significant Weather Advisory for Lauderdale and Colbert County in Extreme NW Alabama until 2:15. This is short of a Severe Thunderstorm Warning but it does indicate that thunderstorms will be growing stronger.

Besides that small cluster of storms, a line of intense thunderstorms (a short line) was over Extreme North and NE Mississippi. Actually it is along the Tennessee Mississippi border. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for those.

All these storms were moving more eastward than southeastward but they will be curving toward the SE later today.

I few isolated showers and thunderstorms have also popped up over South Alabama.

We may have another long afternoon and evening ahead.
