Hello Franklin
Do you remember the character Franklin from the Peanuts comic strip?
Well, Tropical Depression number six intensified slightly overnight and is now Tropical Storm Franklin. Franklin is about 500 miles ENE of Bermuda this morning, moving away to the northeast at a pretty good clip (20 mph).
Top winds are 40 mph, and some slight intensification is possible before colder water and increasing wind shear slowly start to take their toll on the system.
The other three disturbances lined up across the Atlantic have some potential to develop into tropical cyclones, but that doesn’t appear to be imminent. We will be monitoring them. Two of three should recurve east of the islands. The last one could make the Caribbean.
