Strong Storm in West Alabama

| September 4, 2011 @ 6:29 pm | Reply

Pretty strong storm moving toward Demopolis and Forkland right now in West Alabama.

It extends from south of Livingston to east of Pennington. The core is just west of Linden.

There are also decent cells now in Fayette/Walker and Tuscaloosa and Bibb Counties.

Overall intensity seems to be increasing. And rain is really increasing over Central Mississippi…a sign of things to come.

With the spin in the atmosphere, there is the potential for small spin up tornadoes, like we saw just before 4 p.m. in Rainbow City.
