Alabama Early Tonight

By far the stongest thunderstorms in Alabama early tonight were lined up across south-central part of the state from East Perry County southward to the Selma area and to Evergreen and Brewton.

A Tornado Watch continues until 11pm for extreme South Alabama.

Across North Alabama, rain was widespread as far east as Blount, Shelby and Chilton county. There were thunderstorms embedded in the broad rain area. It was pouring rain over Fayette, Winston and Cullman county and rain was increasing across Cullman, Walker, Jefferson, and Shelby County. There has been some thunder and lightening in the Trussville area of northeast Jefferson County.
