Tropical depression number 17 has formed n the far eastern Atlantic.

It is expected to become Tropical Storm Phillippe later today. It will likely recurve northwestward into the Central Atlantic. Here is the NHC official track forecast.

Tropical Storm Ophelia is hanging on a little over 300 mile east of the northern Leeward Islands this morning. It will remain north of the islands.
