An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player on the right sidebar of the blog. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

GREAT NIGHT FOR TRICK OR TREATING: How about a clear sky with temperatures falling into the 50s this evening… just perfect for all of the ghosts and goblins roaming the Alabama neighborhoods. We will wind up in the mid to upper 30s tomorrow morning with more frost for the colder valleys and protected areas.

TOMORROW AND WEDNESDAY: Our weather stays dry, with chilly nights and pleasant days. The high both days will be very close to 70 degrees with a good supply of sunshine.

THURSDAY: A disturbance coming out of the Rockies will bring the risk of showers to Alabama on Thursday, but with very limited moisture rain amounts should be light and spotty, generally under 1/4 inch for most communities. No thunder, severe weather, or heavy rain.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: Friday will feature a mostly sunny sky with a high in the 60s. Saturday looks superb with a good supply of sunshine and a high in the low 70s… yet another great weekend for high school and college football. Sunday should be dry during the day, but the 12Z GFS hints that showers could creep into North Alabama Sunday night. A strong upper ridge noses into Alabama early next week, which should keep rain amounts very light in the Sunday night/Monday morning time frame.

LONG RANGE: Still no sign of any severe weather setup here through mid-November… see the Weather Xtreme video for more details…

TROPICS: All remains quiet across the Atlantic basin.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 90 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40. Mike Brown of Mississippi State University is our guest tonight; we record at 8:30 p.m. CDT. You can listen live via uStream here.
