Tons of sunshine in the Alabama sky today as the clean-up from the weekend storms continues. Highs this afternoon are ranging from the lower to mid 60s. Tonight will be clear and cold with upper 30s and lower 40s.
Our confidence continues to increase in a significant severe weather event this weekend for Alabama and the Deep South. Now and in the coming days is the time to prepare and plan for this event.
BLUE SKY: We have a cloudless sky across Alabama this afternoon with temperatures in the 70s. Tonight will be clear and cool with a low in the 46-54 degree range.
Today and tomorrow the weather is gorgeous across Alabama with sunshine in full supply and comfortable afternoon temperatures. Expect highs in the low and mid 70s both days, while night will be chilly with lows in the 40s.
IMPROVING WEATHER: The sky has becoming sunny across the northern 2/3 of Alabama this afternoon as dry air returns; clouds over the southern counties will move out this evening. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low in the 40s. We might see a few spots over North Alabama in the upper 30s.
Today is featuring sunshine in full supply, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 50s, which is about ten degrees below average to this time of year.

Expect sunshine in full supply today through Sunday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s today and tomorrow, but cooler air slips into Alabama on Sunday with highs mainly in the upper 50s.
DRY FRONT: A dry surface front has passed through most of Alabama this afternoon with only scattered clouds and no rain. Temperatures are in the 60s over the northern half of the state, with 70s over the southern counties. Tonight will be clear with a low in the 37-45 degree range.
A chilly start to the day with widespread 40s in most locations, but under a sky full of sunshine, temperatures are surging into the upper 70s, with some low 80s showing up this afternoon.
Beautiful weather across Alabama and the Deep South this week, with simply splendid, spring-like weather. The relative dry air is place allows for the big temperatures swings daily from the morning lows in the 30s and 40s, to afternoon highs in the mid and upper 70s.
It is warmer today than yesterday, but still cold by Alabama standards; with sunshine in full supply temperatures are reaching the 40s this afternoon.
