Tornado Watch – S LA, S MS

| February 12, 2008 @ 10:43 am | 2 Replies

It is the 43rd day of the year and the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has just posted their 51st tornado watch. The graphic shows the area of the watch. Dew points have climbed into the mid 40s across much of the area and may climb as high as the lower and mid 50s. But I don’t think instability will get strong enough for us to have severe weather. Severe weather should be limited to within about 100 miles or so of the coast.
