We Need Your Help
I don’t ask for help here very often, but we are at a point where you can make a real difference in the lives of people in need this Christmas here in Alabama.
ABC 33/40 has partnered with the U.S. Marines in recent years for the annual “Toys For Tots” drive before Christmas. We ask for new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to families in need the weekend of Christmas.
This year, our Toys for Tots campaign is running way behind our goal. Right now we only about half way to the 80,000 toys that are needed. As it stands now some children will only receive part of their allotment and some others may not receive anything. Please help. Please donate. Drop a toy at a collection spot during the next four days.
We will conduct our annual 26 hour Toys for Tots marathon Thursday and Friday… we will be live at the Legacy BBQ & Brew, which is on Alabama Highway 150 right across from Applebees, near the Riverchase Galleria. You can drop off toys there, or at any of the other drop off locations here.
Again, this is a real, urgent need. Please consider picking up several toys today and dropping them off. Remember, it is more blessed to give than to receive… if you need a blessing, then please give before the time is up Friday night!
