Alabama at 2 am Friday

Rain was increasing across North Alabama early on this Friday morning. From near Birmingham north into Tennessee, the rain was rather widespread. Not real heavy but moderate in places.

Not just Alabama, but the north half of Mississippi also had steady rain, moderate in places, as well as West and Middle Tennessee. The heaviest rain, however, was from Northeast Texas into West Arkansas,

Our latest (cold front) (cool front) coming in from the west and northwest had entered Northwest Alabama early this morning. For example, 65 degrees in Birmingham at 2 am, compared to 45 in Memphis and 42 in Nashville.

Haleyville, in Northwest Alabama,  was reporting heavy rain at 2 am.
