A Good Rain Event

Avery active day of weather across Alabama today with numerous showers and thunderstorms as bands of showers and storms marched through the state, We had a Tornado Watch and a Flash Flood Watch. But for this post, lets zero in on the very beneficial rain amounts.

Interesting to note that today’s rain pushed the Birmingham Airport total to a surplus of 4.44 for the year. Here we go with selected amounts for the 24 hours ending at 6 pm today:
