Cool But Sunny Sweet Home Alabama

| February 25, 2012 @ 1:42 pm

Alabama remained somewhat cool for late February with readings just after 1 pm running mainly in the middle 50s. In fact, most of the state was in the 50s even down to Mobile. Those temperatures were accompanied by a stiff northwest breeze around 10 mph with values of 15 to 20 mph and gusts to 25 across the Tennessee River Valley.

The sky was sunny across the northern third of the state while cirrus clouds covered much of the southern two thirds of the state.

The air was decidedly dry, too, with dew points mainly in the teens which meant humidity values ranging from 16 to 24 percent.
