Storms Forming Early This Afternoon

Scattered thunderstorms were developing rather quickly over  extreme North Alabama early on this Friday afternoon. Some of the storms have already become fairly strong. In fact, one or two warnings were posted near the Alabama/Tennessee border. A large thunderstorm was entering the northwest corner of the state.

Otherwise, smaller but fairly strong, storms were scattered from Blount County northeast to Madison County and over into DeKalb County.

Other storms will be forming as the afternoon goes on and we will watch them closely.
