Records Falling

The high of 85F at the Birmingham Airport today is a new record for the date. The previous record was 84F set in 1982 and 1945.

The 86F at Montgomery was also a record. Tuscaloosa and Anniston fell a couple of degrees short.

Yesterday, BHM tied the record for the date with 84F. Pinson broke theirs with 85F. Anniston tied their record with 83F. Huntsville established a new record with 85F.

Record setting temperatures continue over nearly the entire nation. An amazing 709 record highs and record warm minimums were set on Thursday. There have been 2,430 record highs and record warm minimums across the nation this week.
