The 12Z NAM is complete… no real change in thinking.

Here are some severe weather parameters for Birmingham during the pre-dawn hours tomorrow:

2M Dewpoint: 61.7
Surface based CAPE: 223 j/kg
0 to 3 km Helicity: 474
850 mb winds: 62 knots
500 mb winds: 93 knots

Still looks like the prime show will come after midnight tonight; all modes of severe weather will be possible, but the most significant threat should be from damaging straight line winds along the squall line.

Scroll down for the morning discussion and other good posts on the upcoming event. In the meantime, enjoy the beautiful weather today!
