Alabama Thunderstorms at 1:45 pm

| April 16, 2012 @ 1:45 pm

A very (slim) (narrow) line of thunderstorms continues to progress eastward across mainly North and Central Alabama this afternoon. At 1:45 pm, the line extended from near Gadsden to Birmingham and Centreville and then into southwest Alabama.

Movement is eastward.

The Storm Prediction Center has made note of these storms but they do not think a watch will be necessary. There is lightning all along the line. Have heard thunder one time in NE Trussville.

These storms are the spinoff (whats left) of the historic tornado outbreak of the last several days. Have we ever seen anything like the recent weeks and months of severe weather?
