Amazing Rains

Widespread four to nine inch rainfall amounts have fallen across Mobile and Baldwin County as well as across South Central Alabama in parts of Wilcox and Monroe Counties.

Flood advisories are in effect for Clarke, Monroe and Wilcox Counties. Flood warning for Escambia County, Florida. FLood warning until 8:15 for Mbile and Baldwin Counties.

Flooding is especially severe in the Saraland area, where numerous roads are closed and water is in some houses.

7:00…Chickasaw police indicates flooding continues across the city…especially in the Telegraph Road area. some vehicles are stalled in flood waters.

7:00…I-65 and Airport Blvd [Mobile Co, AL] law enforcement reports FLASH FLOOD at 06:15 AM CDT — Mobile police reports that flash flooding is still ongoing…now across the entire city of Mobile. several cars are still submerged and water rescues have been taking place during the early morning hours.

At 5:30…7.42 inches had fallen at the Mobile Airport.
