National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Flash Flood Warning until 12:30 this afternoon for…

….South Mobile County
….South Baldwin County

2 to 4 inches of rain may occur by noon with isolated five-inch amounts. The heaviest rain should be mostly south of Interstate 10.

A long string of heavy showers and strong thunderstorms extends all the way from SE Louisiana across Coastal Mississippi and into Coastal Alabama and NW Florida. Lots of lightning involved also.

Scott McClellan, who lives on Dauphin Island, reports almost two inches between 8 o’clock and 9’oclock this morning with vivid lightning and the heavy rain continues.

South Louisiana does not need additional rain. Liverpool, La., has received 8.39 inches in the last couple of days.

Away from the coast, the remainder of Alabama was dry at mid-morning.
