Strong Storm…Moving into Marion County

A strong thunderstorm is near Vina in Franklin County this evening. It is moving southeast into Marion County and will pass near Hodges, Hackleburg and eventually Haleyville and Natural Bridge in Winston County.

A LATE REPORT AT 7:15
Atwood [Franklin Co, AL] public reports HAIL of quarter size (E1.00 INCH) at 07:14 PM CDT — quarter-sized hail reported near Atwood.

The NWS Huntsville had a severe thunderstorm warning up for Franklin County, but it has been cancelled.

Other storms continue over Northeast Alabama over Cleburne County.

Showers are increasing over eastern Walker, Cullman and Etowah Counties. These showers may grow into storms as they head southeast also.

The activity is ahead of a cold front that is moving south into Alabama.
