Scatted Storms Marching Southeast

A line of scattered storms is marching southeastward tonight ahead of a cold front.

They extend from Marion and Winston Counties…skipping over Cullman County for now…then get a little stronger in Blount County…over into Etowah…Cherokee…Calhoun and Cleburne Counties.

The strongest storms are along AL-75 in Blount County, from Allgood to Oneonta to just south of Calrence. They are heading toward Highland Lake and Altoona.

The storms have picked up a bit in intensity in the last 30 minutes. Coverage has also increased some.

No warnings at this time.

There was a tornado warning earlier in East Tennessee around Cleveland.

Mentone [Dekalb Co, AL] public reports TSTM WND DMG at 05:50 PM CDT — 2 oak trees snapped at the Lil Mole golf course. dime-sized hail also covered the ground.

Atwood [Franklin Co, AL] public reports HAIL of quarter size (E1.00 INCH) at 07:07 PM CDT — quarter-sized hail reported near Atwood.

Hodges [Franklin Co, AL] emergency mngr reports HAIL of penny size (M0.75 INCH) at 07:12 PM CDT —
