Winds are roaring across Alabama this afternoon behind a strong cold front.

Winds gusted to 51 mph at 3:19 p.m.

The line of showers and storms did actually form. It has prompted a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of DeKalb and Jackson Counties in Northeast Alabama.
