Showers and a few thunderstorms continue to slowly push across Alabama this morning. The strongest storms are along Interstate 65 from Nashville through Huntsville and approaching the northern sections of Birmingham.. Currently there are no severe storms in Central Alabama. There have been a few severe storms near Huntsville and across Central Tennessee.
Strong gradient winds continue ahead of the thunderstorm activity and a wind advisory remains in place until later this morning. Within the showers and storms locally, there are gusty winds, lightning and heavy rainfall. Isolated severe thunderstorms are still possible the rest of tonight.
